Research policy

Our school has progressively put into place a priority on research in the following areas: a supervised Masters of Research in our laboratories, theses are co-supervised by our schools resident researchers, the integration of research partnerships focusing on scientific research and production.

The objectives of our research  is comprised of the following:

  • To respond to the needs of area companies and in doing so to develop an expertise recognized by the industrial milieu
  • To train our engineering students for and through research to have a knowledge and understanding of research methods, to teach innovation methods, such as TRIZ (an inventive and innovative approach to problem resolution), training in patents (analysis and writing), to develop our student's capacity to plan develop, implement and evaluate through individual and groups projects, an obligation to present a portion of all of their reports and oral presentations in English, to systematically oblige students to prepare and turn-in precise work implementation and advancement plans on a regular basis, and that each project report must have a bibliography and a research section the latest developments in the area of student.
  • To develop the scientific expertise of our researchers in our laboratories.
  • To produce academic research that leads to: publications, conferences, patents, communications and added value.

These research activities were approved by ECAM Rennes - Louis de Broglie Scientific Committee and was chaired by Madame Christine Labaune, the Research Director for the National Scientific Research Center and the Manager for the Intensive Lasers Utilization Laboratory at the UMR 7605 CNRS-CEA of the Polytechnic School at Palaiseau.
