Internship

ECAM Rennes requires its students to fulfill 4 different types of internships before graduating. Each internship must have a signed contract which defines the work to be done by the students as well as the conditions of the internship. This contract must be signed by the company, the trainee and the school. 

 

 

First Internship - ECAM Year 2
 

A 4-week internship in an industrial environment in order to understand what it means to work in a company.

 

Type of missions:

  • The intern works as a line-worker or laborer to learn the meaning of working in a factory
  • The intern learns to work as a member of a team (a min. 5 workers)
  • Blue-collar Internships must have a signed contract: training agreement
  • The student must provide proof of work, i.e.,(pay slips, work certificate, contract...).

 

 

 

Internship abroad- ECAM Year 3
 

A 12-week overseas internship in order to understand what it means to work in a foreign country (culture shock, business culture, different ways of working...)

No specific requirement concerning the type of mission.

Internship abroad must have a signed contract. The student needs to have proof of work, i.e., (pay slips, work certificate...).

 

 

 

Technical Internship- ECAM Year 4
 

A 10-week-internship to develop management and technical skills where the student works as an autonomous and responsible junior engineer.

Missions may be in a scientific, industrial or numerical science field:

  • Conception
  • Design
  • Project Management
  • Maintenance of complex systems

 

Technical internships must have a signed contract:

  • Training agreement
  • Employment contract (Note: the student needs to have proof of work, i.e., (pay slips, work certificate...).


     

Engineering Internship- ECAM Year 5
 

A 24-week-internship in an industrial environment where the students put in-practice their knowledge and skills acquired at school by completing the tasks entrusted to them by their supervisor.

The internship is the last step before graduating.

Engineering internships must have a signed contract.
